David Alan Hicks left this earth to be with other superheroes in a far, far away galaxy at around 10:35am on Friday, February 10, 2017.
If anyone ever asks what kind of person David happened to be, you can tell them he was a superhero.
During David’s time at the University of Michigan’s CS Mott Children’s Hospital, he had stem cells drawn. The University has agreed to use those stem cells to help research and eradicate cancers such as his, Ewing’s Sarcoma.
It was one of David’s wishes to be a superhero to others. In addition to the development of the scholarship that many of you have donated to, it’s very cool to know he may have an impact in the eradication of cancer.
Fly high, superhero.
